Prof. Teresito S. David named College Dean of FEU Diliman

Prof. Teresito S. David, Ph.D. is the new College Dean of FEU Diliman. His appointment to provide academic leadership at the school’s College Department in FEU Diliman is effective on March 1, 2017.

An Executive Mentor and Certified Coach, Dr. David has a track record in teaching, training, and consulting–both locally and internationally for nearly 45 years. He specializes in three disciplines: strategic leadership, change management, and executive development.

Career Contributions

As an educator, Dr. David served as the first Chairman (AG&P Professorial Chairholder and SGV-Antonio V. Ayala Professorial Chairholder) of the Leadership and Strategy Department at the Ateneo de Manila University. Dr. David retired as a full-time faculty member in 2013.

As an expatriate in Indonesia for more than a decade, Dr. David served as Executive Advisor to the President of Bank Universal. He also worked as Vice President in Bank Duta and as a Senior Consultant for PermataBank and Bank BTPN. At 45, he retired from the corporate jungle.

As an executive, Dr. David distinguished himself as the External Training Director of Citibank’s Asia Pacific Training Center that covered 15 countries in the region. He received the Citicorp Chairman’s Service Excellence Award for outstanding performance.

Academic Accomplishments

Dr. David obtained his AB Economics degree ’73 (honorable mention) in only three years from the Ateneo de Manila University. An entrance scholar, he pursued his MBA ’76 and DBA (abd) at the University of the Philippines. He graduated with a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies ’10 as a full university scholar (GPA: 4.00) at the Gonzaga University (USA).

A Bank Universal scholar, Dr. David was awarded a Diploma in Banking ’94 (with honors) by the American Bankers Association. He also completed several executive development programs at the Harvard Business School (2), Harvard Law School (2), Michigan Business School (2), and Stanford Business School (8)—all on scholarships from Indonesian banks.
